Jermaine Jackson has just left Channel 4's Celebrity Big Brother, which has been the most controversial so far in the series. Jermaine's quiet demeanour and easy going manner endeared him to the other housemates.
Now calling himself Muhammad Abdul Aziz, 52 year old Jermaine is better known as Michael Jackson's big brother. He was co-lead singer with the Jackson 5, as well as a solo artist in his own right. Jermaine has been married three times, his first wife, Hazel Gordy's father, Berry Gordy, was their current manager at the time of Motown's Records. Jermaine was the lone Jackson family member to stay with Motown whilst the other brothers split for CBS/Epic.
He has teamed up with the likes of Stevie Wonder, who wrote and produced ‘Lets Get Serious', a Top Ten pop and soul dance hit that came around the time of brother Michael's pop ascendancy. Jermaine subsequently re-joined the Jacksons in time for their tour in 1984, and has recorded his own material since that time. He can play the electric guitar, various types of bass guitars, and is known for his dancing abilities on stage.
In 2006 Jermaine announced he will have an album coming out in 2007 under family record label Jesco Records called I'm Back. In the meantime, he is taking time out of his busy schedule to support a friend, Matt Fiddes, in a worthwhile cause that is dear to his heart- an anti- bullying campaign.

“I was bullied at school and it was one of the most frightening and distressing periods of my life. A child can feel very alone and not able to confide in anyone, which makes the situation even worse. I want to change that by empowering young people with self confidence and showing them there is another way. Let’s all work together to make bullying a thing of the past.” Matt Fiddes, founder of Matt Fiddes Martial Arts School |

Bullied children often go through their educational system feeling isolated, ridiculed, and excluded just for being in any way "different". We are proud to be involved in a campaign that can help stop this in its tracks. Sam Koval (Planetkoval) |

As a father and a husband I am very concerned about bullying in schools and places of work, we need to stamp out bullying and have an effective mechanism in place for bullying to be reported and dealt with. No more bullying!

There are few more damaging experiences to a child than the threat, intimidation and abuse of a bully. I am impressed and, as a father, appreciative of the outstanding efforts of you and your team in creating this program. You have my full support.
