Anti-racism
The racism and bullying portrayed on the recent Celebrity Big Brother show has become an issue that has received world-wide attention. Racism is always ugly, whether it’s verbal or physical abuse, the result is the same- it not only makes the person who is on the receiving end unhappy, but it also feeds mistrust and drives a wedge through society, ultimately dividing friends, neighbours and the community at large.
NOBULL promotes anti-racism and teaches children how everyone is equal, no matter what their skin colour or where they come from. Children are encouraged to explore the differences and similarities in their customs and way of life.
NOBULL believes that respect for each other has to be based on understanding and acceptance of different cultures and that everyone is entitled to their point of view. By sharing ideas from an early age, the fear and misconceptions about another person’s way of life can be dispelled and a greater understanding developed.
