Bullying at school is serious problem for children, teachers and parents. It can leave scars that will be carried throughout adulthood, often impairing performance and preventing people achieving their full potential. The psychiatric injury from bullying in childhood may also cause long-term damage to both physical health and mental health. It is a sad fact that each year in the UK at least sixteen children commit suicide because of bullying at school.

NOBULL will show children there is another way to achieve what they want by speaking to others in a polite and kind manner and showing respect for other peoples’ point of view. The initiative will help to build pupil’s self esteem and self confidence, helping them to believe in themselves. Children who under achieve at school often have a very low self esteem that can manifest itself by bullying others. NOBULL will show there is a better way. It will help to instil self discipline in children from an early age and teach them that courtesy towards others is crucial if they want to get on in life.
